What Dunglish is all about
Dunglish is what happens when Dutch gets mixed with English. It is mostly spoken by the Dutch and Flemish (Belgium), but also by Dutch speakers who have been abroad too long, or by English speakers whose English is going Dutch.

I finally found out what “ass” means! It is an abbreviation for “assortiment”, which in Dutch means – you guessed it – assortment, selection.

Leuk om hier een studie van te maken, maar wel een heel ziek verschijnsel al dat pseudo-Engels van m’n taalgenoten – en vorm van superzelfverraad. Overigens, er is voor Dunglish al heel lang een goed Nederlands woord: Nederengels.
